What is it?
Oxytocin is a naturally occurring neuropeptide hormone composed of nine amino acids and is widely studied in laboratory settings for its role in neuroendocrine signalling. It interacts with oxytocin receptors (OXTR) and is used in research exploring social behaviour, stress responses, neurobiology, and hormone signalling pathways in controlled experimental models. Oxytocin is supplied as a lyophilized powder suitable for laboratory investigations involving receptor pharmacology, peptide signalling, and neuroendocrine system dynamics. Each batch is verified for identity and purity using HPLC and mass spectrometry. Supplied as: Lyophilized powder Purity: 98–99%+ (HPLC verified) Storage: Store desiccated at -20°C for long-term. Short-term room temperature exposure (around 1 month) during shipping/handling is generally acceptable if kept sealed, dry, and protected from heat/light. Designation: FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY. Not intended for human or animal consumption.
